Thank you for your interest in the Hebrew Heritage Bible: The Newer Testament. It is my honor to provide you a PDF of the Book of James for free. Please remember that this is a companion translation to be read along with your favorite Bible translation. Since The Newer Testament uses a three-step approach to accurately translate the Greek manuscripts according to their original first-century context, please be mindful of the following when reading the Book of James:

     1. The Hebrew name of Jesus is Yeshua

     2. The Hebrew name of James is Yaakov

     3. The Hebrew term for Old Testament Scriptures is Torah

     4. The Hebrew name for Abraham is Avraham

     5. The Hebrew name of Isaac is Yitzchak

     6. The Hebrew name for Rahab is Rahav

At times the text requires more than one word in English to translate a Greek word accurately. In this case, a functional equivalency is used in translation to provide the reader with a clearer comprehension and a sharper focus. The translation of the Greek must uncover the Jewish mindset and the Hebrew thought. Consequently, this approach assigns a voice to the faith of Jesus and the Hebrew heritage of the Christian faith.

It is my hope that this translation of the Book of James will enhance your faith in Jesus.

Sincerely,
Dr. Brad Young
